14. Automated Decision-Making & AI
Jobifies uses automated systems to provide job recommendations and match scores:
- AI Job Matching — Our scoring engine analyzes your skills, experience level, salary preferences, location, and job recency to rank job listings by relevance. This is a rule-based system using weighted factors.
- No Legal Effects — Match scores are informational only. They do not determine your eligibility for any position. All application decisions are made by employers.
- Transparency — Match scores are displayed directly on job cards so you can see how each job was ranked for you.
- Opt-Out — You can browse all jobs without signing in, which disables personalized matching. You can also edit your profile to change the data used for matching.
In compliance with the EU AI Act, we disclose that our job matching system falls under "limited risk" AI and does not make autonomous hiring decisions.
15. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Role-based access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
- Environment variable segregation — secrets are never committed to code
