Accessibility Statement
Last updated: March 5, 2026
1. Our Commitment
Jobifies is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continuously improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards. We believe that every person deserves equal access to job opportunities and hiring tools.
2. Standards We Follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines are developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and are the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility.
3. What We Have Done
- Semantic HTML — We use proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and ARIA labels throughout the platform.
- Keyboard Navigation — All interactive elements (links, buttons, forms, modals) are accessible via keyboard.
- Focus Indicators — Visible focus outlines are provided for keyboard users navigating the interface.
- Color Contrast — Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios for readability.
- Dark Mode — A system-preference-aware dark mode reduces eye strain and supports users with light sensitivity.
- Responsive Design — The platform adapts to all screen sizes, from mobile phones to large desktop monitors.
- Form Labels — All form inputs have associated labels and descriptive error messages.
- Alt Text — Images include alternative text descriptions where applicable.
4. Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, we are aware of the following limitations:
- Skip navigation links are not yet implemented — this is on our roadmap.
- Some complex interactive components (combobox selectors, multi-step forms) have not been formally audited by assistive technology users.
- Third-party aggregated job content may not fully meet our accessibility standards, as we do not control the source content.
5. Tools & Testing
We regularly test our platform using:
- Browser developer tools accessibility audits (Lighthouse)
- Manual keyboard navigation testing
- Screen reader spot-checks (VoiceOver, NVDA)
6. Reporting Accessibility Issues
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on Jobifies, please let us know. We take all reports seriously and will work to resolve issues promptly.
Email us at jobifies@gmail.com with the subject line "Accessibility Issue". Please include:
- The page URL where you encountered the issue
- A description of the problem
- The assistive technology you were using (if applicable)
We aim to acknowledge reports within 2 business days and resolve issues within 30 days.
